International SIM Card Advice For Those Who Travel Regularly
There is nothing wrong with being a regular international traveler for business. It is an exciting life and it generally means that business is probably going well. You still need to look at saving money though. It is in your best interest to keep your money in your pocket if you can possibly do so.
I have dealt with a lot of international SIM card (also known as Roaming SIM card) companies so I have a lot of advice I can share with you. Here is what you need to do and know:
Get a Roaming SIM- It amazes me how many people don’t get a SIM card even after they have thought about it. Just do yourself a favour and make sure after reading this article that you do buy your card and save on your roaming charges.
Get the best option for you-There are a variety of SIM cars out there and you need to choose the best SIM card for you. The best SIM card depends on what countries you are travelling to and whether you need any of the extra features that some of the international SIM cards offer.
Don’t be silly, just get one- I’m sorry but I need to mention it again because some people out there who just don’t get it. I am sick of getting calls from clients who have spent thousands of dollars more than they have to.
Buy a smart phone with WiFI- Technology has advanced so rapidly and costs have dropped. WiFI networks are increasingly covering hotels and CBD areas. Also, it is getting much cheaper to get a mobile phone with WiFI capability. You should get a WiFI smartphone so you aren’t tempted to access your email via GPRS whilst you are travelling.
Maybe you need a dual SIM phone instead- Reinforcing my previous point that technology has improved it is now common to be able to get mobile phones that are able to hold two cards that work at the same time. That way you can get calls from home but make calls out on your International SIM so you save your money.
Put your new number on you business card- This point is based on the assumption that you are already buying an International SIM. If you get one, you need to make sure that you put it on your business card so that people will get used to calling you on this number whilst you are traveling.
Don’t be stupid. Get yourself an International SIM card today.
