14.06 Summer update Evergary recordings: Evergary will record their unreleased tracks. The songs will be released digitally only, and given away for free. Do you Love Melena? will also record an EP i august. The Mainstreams are coming over from Glasgow to record in July. We will also start working on the new Jens Carelius album soon. Evergary have been asked to join a competition where the winner will play at the Norwegian Wood festival. Breaking News: It's a new year! I INDIE,I INDEED, I HAVE INDIAN. Christmas News: Here in Norway we spend 34 billion on christmas gifts this year. Our response to that horrible number is a free christmas cd which can be downloaded from here. Høygir will rock around the christmas tree and at a club near you before that anyway. Do you Love Melena have released a two-track promo single, it could be found at their gig at Maiden yesterday, but now we will try to pursue the guys at Tiger to put it in the shopping bags. New adress! www.myspace.com/doyoulovemelena September 25th Hello, I feel like making some updates on our bands, including the signing of a new band, so read carefully: EVERGARY: Are not planning to play live at the moment, making songs and new sounds, trying to get to an agreement on style and genre. Let's just hope they won't... Anyway look out for Zoom. DO YOU LOVE MELENA?: As the awake reader might suggest reading this header, the band formerly known as The Melena Summer Sessions, have changed their name to DO YOU LOVE MELENA. Great choice! The band will play one gig this autumn, with the legendary Honkoburger. Stay tuned for where and when. THE MAINSTREAMS: Are taking it easy. Julie is rehearsing with her new Kiss- drum sticks. AND AT LAST: HØYGIR is out latest signing. These young punkers will be out rocking soon, and more news on them will appear shortly. They will start off their proffesional career flying with a support job for no other than the legendary Backstreet Girls! Their EP will be released late fall. July 18th Check out this terrific review of "Clip on" by Rockeweb! Rumours from the Melena camp tells us that the Skuret show will be state of the art rock and roll. Don't miss it. Evergary have two fans in Canada and at least a hundred in Bergen after a wild gig with Snöras. They were actually absolutely fantastic and definately wildest. Thanks to all who came to see us, we had a great time. Trondheim coming up soon! March 27th: Dear Diary Hello there. Here's a little update on what's going on in the Smokin' Frog Camp these days. Both Melena, Gary and the Mainstreams are recording demo's and I must say I feel like we are going somewhere with our songs. These creative periods are ephemeral and intense, but It's great when ongoing, we are getting more skilled, and are digging deeper into the music every day. But again, as I's better stop writing now before it's over. I guess nobody's reading this anyway, cause myspace is fucking taking over the world, as well as facebook or youtube. I think, if people had spent the vast amount of time used on this satan's threesome, we would have better music and thoughts around us. (We are using myspace, it's the easiest way for fans to listen to the music, what I'm talking about is the networking, the social prostitution and the virtual reality in which some people actually live their lives. And in fact, forgive me, who of you have a genuine interest in music, but, I don't think that many of the users of myspace are listening seriously to the music on myspace. When the sounds are coming from the shitty speakers on your laptop, you never get the right impression of the music, or not at all what it is trying to tell you.) Anyway, if you've come this far, thanks for reading and more hopefully listening. Ø March 26th: Bergen! Evergary at Kvarteret this Saturday with fabolous Snöras. March 20th: Trondheim! The Melena Summer Sessions and Evergary will travel to Trondheim to play at Pias Cafe and Fru Lundgreen's, respectively. March 1st: UKAS URØRT!
